How do I get more orders?

I have worked the lunch and dinner shifts and only gotten one order in a couple hours numerous times now, how do I get more orders?

This is advice if you want to maximize orders, not necessarily maximize your hourly earnings. Dash at night after the bonuses end. In my area that is 8pm and on. A new order will pop up as soon as you swipe delivered. Make sure you use the bathroom before late night dashing because you will be doing mostly drive-thrus and liquor stores. If you have access to many zones, look for the lower paying bonuses. In the bay area, one zone may be paying a $7 bonus and an adjacent zone will be paying $6. Dashers flock to the $7 area - so more orders in the $6 area. I don't know if new dashers are lower on the totem pole when orders come in but try to make the best of the waiting time. If you can stay at home with the app running and get stuff done while waiting for an order, the slowness doesn't seem so bad. Or sit in your car or a Starbucks and do homework or sort through your junk drawer.

Ignore the hotspots. Download the customer app and make your own hotspots by seeing what's around your location. You'll make more money and drive less miles that way.

I think they have flooded the markets with drivers. The incentive jump to 1000 shows that. Same thing happened in LA. I used to never have a break. Just a steady flow of orders. Now, maybe 1 every couple hours. DD doesn't care. They see it as more orders get filled faster. However us drivers get screwed.

Im here in the bay area and same shit. i started 2 months ago was slammed, easy 1k a week , now im driving from hot spot too hot spot hoping too ping

Look at the heat map. If it's grey then there are no open orders and all the drivers are either occupied or sitting. Pale red it's slow, bright red it's busy.

I have never seen any other colour other than dark red and gray. I don't even believe in those other colours.

That's what they want you to think. In reality tho, it's just a projection of how many drivers they think they need on the road. Map can be bright red and no orders for an hour, map can also be grey and you get back to back orders nonstop.

It's slow bruh. It's slow where I'm at. Every one spent all their money on turkey and Black Friday. Rent is almost due. That means more drivers and less customers. Happens every month.

Yeah me too, when I started a month ago the orders were steady, now nothing. Its even pouring rain, and nothing
